   Extended the life of my car by adding CarPlay functionality to my 9 yo pickup. Note that contrast needs to be turned all the way up to enhance the color variation on the map. Highly recommended to add CarPlay to a car that doesn’t have it.

   I was not sure which one of the many units that were available to choose, but I am incredibly happy with this unit. I have a 2003 Chevy Avalanche and a 1968 Chevy Nova that I use in. I use it every day in my Avalanche with the radio transmitter and it works great. I do like all the features that CarPlay gives you. In my Nova, i have a newer after-market radio with an aux plug and that really works well! I like the fact that you must touch the screen a little harder than most units, my sister has a different brand unit, and the screen is too sensitive. I am even considering purchasing a second unit, that way I don't have to keep moving it from one vehicle to another.

   i was kinda suprised with how well it works, apple carplay automatically connects, bright display, the audio quality coming from the fm transmitter is clear and loud. it also mounts very well to my car never had problems with it falling out or coming out of place. would recommend to anybody looking for a budget apple car play or android auto radio but you have a older car. this would work with any car it worked well with my 05 honda crv

   I needed a screen to provide navigation information in my 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn. The vehicle has a Uconnect system that is version RA3. Navigation is not available on this version of Uconnect. I connect an iPhone 12 mini to the Uconnect system to provide calling. However, I needed to use the iPhone 12 mini screen for navigation information. The screen on the iPhone 12 mini is just too small, so I purchased the DashDrive screen system. I was able to power up the DashDrive screen using the included 12V power cord and connect my iPhone via Bluetooth in less than 5 minutes. I then spent about 15 minutes deciding on the best installation method (I used the dash mount) and routing the power cord. The included 12V power cord had two additional USB-A power slots which work very well to provide charging power to my iPhone and the DashDrive unit simultaneously. I was able to choose between Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze to provide navigation information that was much easier to see than my iPhone screen. The Ram's Uconnect system will play music and podcasts directly through the vehicle's speakers, so I have no need music capability of the DashDrive unit. I found the unit's speakers to be acceptable to provide navigation instructions when needed, but the vehicle's factory system provide a better sound quality for music and podcasts. The screen quality is very good and very easy to read in my application. I found no need to attempt a wired connection from the iPhone to the DashDrive unit since the Bluetooth connection works very well. When I start the truck, the unit connects to my iPhone automatically. I did spend about an hour working with settings options of the DashDrive unit to ensure it aligns with my intended use. I had to delete my play list on my phone since the DashDrive unit tried to automatically play my music when I started the vehicle. That was not a significant issue for me since I rarely use my phone for playing music. If my phone rings while I am in the vehicle, both the DashDrive unit and the factory Uconnect system allow me to answer the call. I have always been satisfied with factory Uconnect system for answering the phone so I will probably continue to use the factory system. I have not attempted to send a voice message by the text function from the DashDrive unit so I cannot comment on that functionality. All in all, I am very happy with the DashDrive unit.

It is limited in it's features and the FM transmitter sound is just mediocre. If you are looking for a cheap option to add more function without replacing your stereo, this is a decent value option.

   Ich habe das bestellt da kein Carplay in mein Auto habe. Dadurch kann mein Iphone und auch Android verbinde was praktisch ist. Das Display ist Touchscreen was gut finde, vorallem wenn man beim Fahren was tätigen muss. Und reduziert die Ablenkung beim Fahren.
   
   Die erst Verbindung war schnell jnd alles mehrsprachig gut beschrieben.
   Ist auch stabil festgelegt um Auto. Und faire Preis hat den Disllay auch.

   I was not able to use the windshield mount as the arm is not long enough to use the screen without it blocking too much view. I have the screen mounted partially lower that the dash, so not to obstruct view of road while driving. This causes the integrated front camera to be too low to be a good dash cam. It is described as a radio. It's actually more of a large screen accessory for my phone. I can transmit music from my phone through the unit's fm transmitter to my radio, but it does not receive radio signals itself. It is not a replacement for my radio. It does have a bolt in speaker but it is not as good of sound as vehicle sound system. I initially was trying to use it for GPS through screen mirroring while my phone was connected to the screen via wifi. This left the gps screen much smaller than the total display area. After connecting via bluetooth, everything worked much better. The GPS navigation on this screen makes this worth it for me. Now my 25 year old vehicle has car play and a large navigation screen comparable to my new vehicle. This item is still worth the price but make sure it will work for our situation.

   This carplay unit isn't terrible, and it does what it was made to do, but there are some improvements that could be made. I'm currently not using it because I can't get it to stay on my dash with the provided mount, and the dash cam doesn't work well in my car on the windshield mount. It was easy to hook up and grabbed my phone right away, and when I get it out of the sun, it has a very nice, vivid display, but I can't get around the small things that bother me so much about it. Maybe this would be better in a car with a flat dash and a night owl driver, but it's not my cup of tea.

    I LOVE this product. I got this right before taking two long road trips. After over 72 hours in the car during those two road trips I can confidently say that this device is so helpful. I often struggle with fumbling with my phone to look at my gps because I don’t have a good place to hang my phone in my car because of the placement of my vents and things. I put this monitor on my dashboard and it not only allowed me to easily see my maps, it also allowed me to easily change my music and respond to text messages via siri. My phone was not needed once while I was driving, which is a huge upgrade from me having to fumble for my phone when directions are popping up. Another awesome feature is that when my phone is hooked up to it and I get a notification, my phone screen doesn’t light up. So there is no risk of distractions from my phone. Highly recommend this product, especially if you spend a lot of time commuting or road tripping. Only downside is that the sticky dashboard base that holds the monitor doesn’t fit my curved dashboard very well. It holds it securely though, even though it’s not touching the dashboard in every area. There is also a separate attachment I could pit on my window and hang it that way, which I haven’t tried. I’m sure it would work just as well, if not better.

   I was unable to connect to my phone because I do not have the required (current) operating system on my phone. They clearly state on the packaging that it requires Android v8 for some and Android v11 for other things. So many of the features would not work for me. I was able to connect to my phone's Bluetooth and that was very easy and quick. I am impressed by the quality. The front camera came up automatically as I saw my car's dash behind the CarPlay.
   
   If you have a more current mobile phone, I am sure all the connections will work just fine for you. I was able to set the clock, date and time very easily, so I have no doubt that this feature packed car screen will work for you as long as you have current OS on your phone.
   
   There are tons of features not listed here and they all take a certain amount of understanding because the manual is difficult to understand and quite lacking. The company spent lots of time on product development, packaging, hardware and even software, which does look quite well done and thought out, but didn’t spend much on language translation (at least to English), which requires the user to figure it out for himself.
   
   All included cables and screen mounting options look top notch. I get a new phone every year, so maybe my next phone will be supported by the system required for this unit.

   Really enjoying this upgrade for my 12 year old car with no display/really bad Bluetooth system. Wish I didn't wait so long to get one of these!! It was super easy to set up and works great when getting in and out of the car after initial set up. Takes a minute to connect but will do so automatically when using Android Auto + the FM transmission feature. Looks great too, just need to work on cable management now.
