All in all it works well if you want to add wireless Apple CarPlay for a low cost and easy installation.

I've been using it for 2 months now and it works great .
Used my car FM transmitter to get the voice output so I get clear sound and can control the volume from my steering wheel.
The navigation experience is better now with the big screen. I like the ability to use google assistant and also play internet radio through it.
Got it when it was at lower price , It really gives me the essential features without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it.
The best aspect of this unit is the Bluetooth-to-car connection, which many others don’t have. It does make a big difference and creates less cable mess.
On the second day with this unit, I turned on my car and the unit came on with flashing, changing colors. Perhaps it was because of the cold overnight weather (~ 30 F). I restarted it and it went back to normal. Still, not a good sign of durability…
Also, the plastic screen appears to have some damage to it on the corners. It’s not noticeable when driving but is very noticeable when looking up close.
That said, it’s a decent unit and an affordable (<$100) way of adding CarPlay to an older car. I have already enjoyed the ease of use and appreciate being able to leave my phone in my pocket!
I am returning the unit incase I got one that was faulty and having it replaced for another unit and will update once the new one is installed.
UPDATE: I have received a replacement, I still cannot get airplay/screen mirror to work. If you don’t care about watching movies etc. on this unit then it has and does everything you need for CarPlay, it takes about 30 seconds to connect but after that works as it should.
I am unsure if I am going to return it or not, it will depend on if I can figure out why airplay will not connect.
